Each system is slightly different, so please check the details at the top of the auction.  All systems include a pre-plumbed acrylic shower base (water lines are built in under the shower base to the back wall), at least one shower column on the outside of the unit (houses the plumbing lines, shower valve, volume control, shower head, body sprays, and toe tester), all units include some glass (each unit varies a bit), and the support columns and brackets.  Some units even come with a built in seat (2-person units only).   What Else Do I Need? You need to supply a space big enough for the unit and the surrounding walls where indicated.  Some units only need one wall to back up to while others sit in a niche and need 3 walls.  This is the reason why some units come with 3-sides glass and others only have 1-side glassed.  The walls will need to be finished in your choice of material (not supplied) – tile, marble, solid surface material, etc.  Please see below for examples:   1- Wall Shower Systems Front + both sides are glassed with glass doors.  User to supply finished back wall (tile, marble, etc) 2-Wall Shower Systems Front + 1-side wall is glassed with glass doors.  User to supply 2 finished walls (tile, marble, etc)   3-Wall Shower Systems Front is glassed with glass doors.  User to supply 3 finished walls (tile, marble, etc)   Are These Units Only For New Construction Or Will They Work For A Remodel? It depends.  New construction is almost never an issue as you design your own space.  When it comes to remodels - everyone has a different idea of what a remodel is.  These units are larger than a standard 5’x32” bathtub / shower area and will not just “drop-in” as a direct replacement.  However, if you are creating a new space or ripping out the entire bathroom and have the space – absolutely.  The key here is to make sure you have the space.  The shower bases have a very unique feature in that they have plumbing lines built in underneath the base.  This allows for the plumber to make a plumbing connection at the back wall while the shower column sits on the front side of the shower base.  You don’t have to use this installation option, but it is a very unique feature.   Tell Me About The Shower Column. The shower column is made of extruded aluminum and finished in one of several finishes including Polished Chrome, White, Satin Chrome, and Timber (walk-in models only).  The shower column in made up of two key pieces – the inside main column that you see while you are in the shower and the outside cover that snaps on and that you see while standing in the bathroom.  Each has its own finish – in other words, the inside column can be a Satin Chrome finish while the outside cover could be a Polished Chrome finish.  The outside cover comes off so the column can be installed onto the shower base. This cover also gives access to the plumbing lines, valves, body sprays, etc so you have complete access for repairs – no more tearing out drywall should an issue arise.  The inside of the shower column features a thermostatic temperature control valve (set to 100 degrees, 102 degrees, etc), volume control, function control (shower head, showerhead and body sprays, foot check, etc), 4-adjustable body sprays, a multi-function shower head, and a foot check / toe temperature tester outlet.  2-Person Summer Rains have two shower columns for true “His & Her” control & have 2 shower heads, 8 body sprays, 2-valves, etc.   Are All Metal Pieces Finished the Same Color? No – As mentioned above, the shower column and cover may be the same finish or they may be different – please check the top of this auction page for complete finish details.  Also, we are told that all shower door handles and support brackets are in Chrome no mater what the shower finish is.   Do I need Electrical Service? No.  The only connections that you will need are hot and cold plumbing line connections.   Why Such A Discount? Great question.  We buy overstocks, closeouts, and liquidations and were able to pick these up at a very competitive price.  These systems are priced way below dealer cost and represent a tremendous value.  These units sold to consumers in showrooms for many thousands of dollars above our auction price.  Don’t be fooled by some cheap overseas knockoff - these are the real deal and backed by one of the top names in the plumbing industry.  Like we mentioned before, once they are gone – they are gone.  We cannot stress this enough.   How Are These Units Packaged? Each key component is packaged in a separate carton.  These cartons are then crated to insure protection and to keep everything together.  This type of packaging is great because it protects the other items until needed – in other words – the shower base can be pulled out and installed while the glass and shower column remain packaged and protected until needed.  This is great feature since not all items get installed at the same time during a construction project.   How Will These Units Be Shipped? These units will be shipped via a common carrier trucking line.  Many times we use UPS Freight, but not always so the carrier may vary.  We will ship these on a lift-gate truck and they can be delivered to your home address or to your plumbers or contractors address if preferred.  The lift gate option is a definite benefit since these units are crated and heavy.
