This comes with the Catstop unit, main stake, extension stake, and mounting screws. The cat stop unit can be hung or used with the stakes. How this works is that it sensors detect the warmth from the cat when it enters the Catstop's field of view and this triggers a 3 second ultrasonic burst of sound. A red light indicates that the sensor has been triggered. The Catstop operates continuously and it waits for the animal to come into its range before activating and therefore startles the cat.
