Diffusing deeper into skin tissues than other honey, Active Manuka can be effective against superbugs like E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Helicobacter pylori.Therapetic Uses:Internally: Take 1-2 teaspoons, 3-4 times per day, 15-20 minutes before meals to combat ulcers and gastritis.Sore Throats, Cold or Flu: Coat the thoat with one teaspoon before meals - allow honey to melt in mouth slowly.Externally: Use 1 1/2 tablespoons on a 4" X 4" dressing. Make sure there is contact between the wound and the dressing. Change the dressing daily. WHY BUY ORGANIC: Bees fly in a radius of about 3 miles from their hives collecting pollen and nectar. Unfortunately, the use of chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, and GMO's in agriculture and on public lands in the United States and abroad is widespread. The residues of these toxins lace the plant pollens and nectars and affect the quality of your honey. Additionally, mites and diseases such as varroa and American Foulbrood have threatened the supply of honey. Many beekeepers have been forced to treat their bees and bee hives with chemicals and antibiotics to ensure supply. As a result, most of the commercially-produced honey on the grocery shelves are far from being the 'natural' product one would expect. Organic beekeepers in New Zealand must adhere to strict criteria in order to certify that their honey is organic. No chemicals or drugs are allowed in or around the bees or their hives or in the materials used to construct their hives. In addition, all land within the bees' flying radius must be certified organic. New Zealand is an established nuclear-free zone and has been judicious in its use of chemicals in agriculture and public lands. New Zealand proudly boasts locations that are environmentally pure and uncontaminated. HAND PACKED FOR HEALTH! Most processors heat honey in order to prevent crystallization and make the product easier to pack and more attractive to the consumer. Organic honey is carefully extracted and never heated above hive temperatures so nutrients and enzymes are not destroyed.
