Description
Two framed panels, each 82” x 93.” Each panel features two classical figures—Spring /Summer and Autumn/Winter—each standing on a balustrade. The sky blue background fades into dawn. Note: Color appears too pink in most of these photos. About Zuber From Forbes magazine: “Founded in 1797, Zuber is famous for making what many consider to be the most beautiful and elaborate wallpaper in the world. What is so exceptional about it is the level of artistry... Zuber paper always tells a story in exquisite detail…. Throughout its history, Zuber’s designs have papered the dining rooms and living rooms of kings and tycoons. ... Zuber wallpaper, made by hand from lovingly maintained blocks, is staggeringly expensive. A roughly 12-foot square section costs a minimum of $10,000; even a modest room could cost between $20,000 and $30,000.” December 7, 2001. Zuber wallpaper appears in the White House, installed by Jacqueline Kennedy These papier-peint (wallpaper) panels were purchased by my husband and me at Zuber company in Paris They were then hand mounted by Zuber expert John Nalewaja in New York City on custom-built ¾” birch plywood and framed in a simple Larson Juhl style 448S in Antique Silver finish, 1 7/8” Because of the contemporary silver-toned framing and subdued, matte color palette, they fit beautifully into an eclectic décor SHIPPING: If you cannot pick up locally, we will gladly work with a shipper of your choice and/or help you find a freight company.
