When measuring the pool area, you must add 3 ft. to you measurements to allow for the sidewall support clearance, likewise when planing your deck allow for the supports. So for a 13x21 foot pool you will need a 16x24 foot area. You will need to supply a Ladder, Pump and Filter assembly and a couple of standard Hayward style 1 1/2" PVC fittings for connecting hoses to the pool. I would also suggest a pair of 1 1/2" PVC gate valves to keep the water in the pool just in case you ever need to remove the pump/filter for service. A gate valve is a basic valve that closes like a faucet to block the flow of water in the lines. Remember you will also need to supply basic 1 1/2" hoses to connect the pump/filter to the pool fittings. **Inlets and outlets are located opposite the ladder on the narrow ends.
